Deidra Brown

Practice Manager

Deidra comes from an extensive background of client and pet relations. Her career journey started in retail management but after studying Accounting at Niagara College, she switched to managing a financial institution. When she started volunteering at the Humane society her interests quickly focused on our 4-legged friends. While working at Doggy Day Cares, who incorporated obedience training, she gained a certification in canine behaviour and obedience. She utilized those skills at the Humane Society/Animal Control and helped develop the “Meet Your Match program” where she would assess pets’ behaviour for adoption.

For the 6 years prior to starting at NOAH she was managing a fast-paced Veterinary Hospital in Ancaster. The vet medicine field has solidified a perfect career choice for her which merges Deidra’s love for animals with the ability to build rapports with her team and clients, while being an advocate for each.

Deidra has lived almost her entire life in the waterfall capital, Hamilton, ON. Her whole world is her young son who has Osteogenesis Imperfecta aka Brittle Bone Disease. His condition doesn’t stop him though and keeps Deidra very active. They enjoy the outdoors, swimming, learning about their cultures, County Fairs and all the wonderful foods and animals that come with them. Currently the house is a little quieter after the loss of their 170lb Neapolitan Mastiff Azure and leopard gecko Crossaint. The current ruler of the roost is a black and white cat that her son named….you guessed it: Oreo.
